Lime Pictures attracts, retains and develops the best possible talent from around the UK through the direct support of our HR Services function.
We currently have a number of partnerships with key broadcasters and industry bodies across the UK that assist in achieving this goal.
Diversity is a key area of our talent agenda and we consistently secure talent from a wide and varied number of sources.
Listed next are a number of our talent partnerships and initiatives:
- Work placements: Over the last 12 months Lime pictures has facilitated a significant number of work placement opportunities. Around 20% have secured further opportunity or a permanent position with the Company.
- Ravensbourne: Through our links with Ravensbourne College of Design & Communication we offer industry based placements for students on the Broadcast Operations and Production Course.
- Liverpool John Moores University: We are especially proud of our local talent links with Liverpool JMU and provide industry based placements for students on the Media Professional Studies course.
- Cultural Diversity Network North: We are an active board member of the CDNN alongside major broadcasters and Independent Producers. The network's primary focus to increase ethnic diversity within the media however this is shortly to be extended to include people with disabilities.
- Skillset Production Management Diploma: We have been an active partner in developing an industry based qualification to develop a talent base of Production Managers within the North West.
- Media Foundation Placement Scheme: Through this Placement Scheme Lime Pictures, working closely with ITV Granada, the BBC and Vision and Media, support people from ethnic minority backgrounds in gaining employment in the television sector. During the year-long scheme the trainees work within the broad range of ITV Granada, BBC and Lime Pictures' departments and also spend time at independent production companies throughout the North West.
- Advanced Apprenticeship in Media Production: Lime Pictures offers short term placement opportunities for a number of apprentices, aged between 16 and 22 who live within the North West of England as part of the 18 month Advanced Apprenticeship in Media Production. By the end of the Programme the apprentices with have gained a Level 3 qualification on this City & Guilds accredited scheme.
- Opportunities for those with a disability: Lime Pictures have a number of partnerships to provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities. We currently have two placements in operation.
