BLACK MIRROR PRODUCER TO JOIN LIME PICTURES AS SCRIPTED EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

BAFTA and RTS award-winning producer Louise Sutton is joining Lime Pictures as Executive Producer of Scripted content.  Her appointment marks a return to Lime for Louise, where she began her career over 15 years ago working on Brookside, Grange Hill and Hollyoaks.

Louise most recently produced two critically-acclaimed episodes of Black Mirror for Netflix: USS Callister, starring Cristin Milioti, Jesse Plemons, Jimmi Simpson, Michaela Coel and directed by Toby Haynes; and Metalhead, starring Maxine Peake, directed by David Slade.

After 5 years on Coronation Street, including as Assistant Producer during its landmark 50th anniversary year, Louise was the first Series Producer of CBBC’s The Dumping Ground, which won a BAFTA, an RTS Award and a Writers’ Guild award.  She went on to produce series ranging from Midsomer Murders, Home Fires and Jekyll & Hyde for ITV to BBC1’s Death in Paradise.

Having just delivered Butterfly (Red Productions/ITV), Tony Marchant’s story of one family struggling to cope with their trans child and prejudices against them, Louise joins Lime in July and will be based in Liverpool and London.

Louise will report directly into joint managing directors Kate Little and Claire Poyser, developing her own portfolio and working across the company’s current drama slate.

Of joining Lime, Louise says: “I am thrilled to be joining the brilliant team at Lime Pictures at a time when the company is going from strength to strength.  Having worked around the world, I am delighted to be coming home, to work with the very best talent in the North West and beyond.”

Joint Managing Director Kate Little says: “As we grow the scripted slate globally, we’re thrilled to be working with Lou, whose first-class experience in developing premium drama for all audiences speaks for itself.”

Claire Poyser, Joint Managing Director adds: “Louise’s award-winning track record in programme-making is matched by her commitment to bringing the boldest stories to the screen, working with established writers and nurturing new writers.  We’re delighted to be able to harness her energy and vision.”
